Widen the Drop-Down Boxes for Filter Items

I like to use more descriptive names for projects such as "ACME Web Site" and "ACME Training" rather than "ACME WS" and "ACME TR". When I do so the drop-downs boxes for filtering are not wide enough to display the full project names. It would be nice if you could widen them.
