Auto "Next Action"
Hi, the one feature that will make this app for me (I will buy it and recommend the solution to our organisation, we are a mixed, Mac, PC, Android and iPhone shop) is automatic "Next Action" sorting.
What I mean by this is:
. The ability to manually sort the tasks within a project. . The
system automatically assigns the task at the top of the manually
sorted list within the project as the "next action". . When you
choose the "next action" view, it will be populated by the top task
in the different projects that you are working on. . When you mark
off an action as complete from the "next action" view, the next
action from the project is automatically promoted and appears in
the "next action" view without my having to go back to the many
projects I am working on (over 30) and having to maually engage in
this process.
At the moment, the organisation is moving towards Omnifocus which does this. Omnifocus is a little too expensive and we are a mixed OS shop.
What are your thoughts regarding auto "next action" (which is essentially, at the heart of GTD)?

Hi Stephen,
Thank you for your suggestions. I think it is a great idea to implement the next action. In order to implement it, we first need to be able to reorder tasks, which is in the roadmap.
We'll have this into account when we do the task re-ordering.

OK, so its now over 7 months later, task re-ordering was released in 2011 (as far as I can tell) project "next action" is not included just yet? I do not see it on the road map either. Am i missing it?

I forgot to mention something very important - This app has got to be the best app ever!
In my effort to become a better husband, father, etc., I sometimes loose sight of the efforts other people make (like this app) that i take advantage of.
Thanks again for a great product!

Hi Kevin,
This feature went to the backburner when we started implementing repeating tasks. We've been a bit slower in the recent past, but hopefully be able to catch up soon.
